If you are selling your own products or services, you need to have an affiliate program.
Basically, you give a commission for any sale generated by an affiliate when their marketing efforts result in the sale. In order to receive the commission, the affiliate promotes your products using a special link, and they only get paid if their promotion leads to a sale.
This is a powerful form of advertising, because you only pay if a sale is made. Compare this to the risk of other forms of advertising and you’ll quickly realize how important this is. Imagine spending thousands of dollars in advertising without any guarantee sales will be generated. Scary!
But don’t just set up an affiliate program and think affiliates will come running to promote your products. You have to manage your affiliate program if you want to recruit affiliates and keep them active.
